Perfect Plantzilla Pumpkin!

In math and science class, Miss Russell and Mrs. Shall read us an awesome book called Plantzilla. Plantzilla is about a mini plant that grows over summer vacation and a boy who begs his parents to keep the plant. The plant grows up to be really big and really tall and starts eating human food. It turns out Plantzilla is a Venus flytrap and it is humongous and crazy!!!! It has vines everywhere!!! Cats, dogs, everything is trapped in his vines (p.s. even your house could get trapped!!!) Plantzilla takes walks by himself. Plantzilla always sneaks food in the back rooms. The boy, in the story, keeps writing letters to his friend and his friend writes him back. At the end of the story, he gives the plant to his friend who he has been writing letters to. We chose to decorate our Literacy Pumpkin to match “Plantzilla” because we were learning about plants in science.

Here are the steps we followed to make the Plantzilla Pumpkin (maybe you could follow these steps too!)

First we read the book.
Next we painted it and made details.
Then we glued the props to the pumpkin.
After we did that we made Mortimer.
After that we put the Chihuahua and the hot dog and stuff on.
Last we brought it down stairs to our lobby. It looked great!!!
