Friday was an exciting day. During Science Workshop, we took a field trip to Mrs. Swidorsky's 5th grade classroom to visit their newly hatched baby chicks. The SOLAR Team could barely contain their excitement.
Mrs. Swidorsky gave us a close look at the incubator where the eggs were turned three times a day to stay healthy, and showed us the
chicken coop which will soon be their residence. The fifth graders talked to us a little about embryology and then got the baby chicks out of their temporary shelter so we could pet them. What a neat experience!
